Course overview

The two day PA preparation / training is currently organised as below:

Day 1 online individual study via completion of the PL PLG modules as a pre-requisite for attending day 2 {information will be sent out two weeks prior to day 2 to complete on-line}

Day 2 is a remote study day with discussion and activities applying theory in the PL PLG modules to practice and facilitated by an academic colleague, 9:30am - 3:30pm {Day 2 dates are listed above}

With the introduction of the NMC’s Standards for Student Supervision and Assessment (2018) there are now a number of staff in Trusts and organisations who wish to become Practice Supervisors and Practice Assessors and who require preparation for the role.

Participants will look at the roles and responsibilities of the Practice Assessor, will learn about learning and teaching theories and their application to the student experience and their Practice Assessment Document (PAD) and Ongoing Achievement Record (OAR).
